Track


Track page contains two components, a map and a side list of vehicles.



List of Vehicles

  • It contains a search box, 2 filter and the list of vehicles that can be expanded and collapsed.
  • Tow filters, the first one based on online and offline vehicles and the second filter based on other statuses which contains the different statuses of vehicles as follows:
  • Green means Online Vehicle.
  • Black means Stopped Vehicle.
  • Dark Green means Idling Vehicle.
  • Grey means Offline Vehicle.
  • Red means Over Speed Vehicle.
  • Orange means Over Street Speed Vehicle.
  • Blue means invalid status vehicle





  • The list of vehicles displays all vehicles assigned to the current user grouped by Vehicle groups, when choosing a vehicle by clicking on the box beside it, the vehicle will appear on the map with its information.


How to perform some tasks on each vehicle

Vehicle listed on the map will have a window of information with Options button that contains:

How to View Full History Playback:

:Full History Playback feature displays the track for a vehicle in a chosen period as the following steps

  1. Choose a vehicle from the side list of vehicles. Vehicle will appear on the map.
  2. In the information window that appears for this vehicle, click on Options button.
  3. Click on Full History Playback, a new window will be opened.
  4. Choose dates and click on Play button.




You can also Export the records by clicking on Export button on the top of the table.

The following can be performed of each tab in Full History Playback table: 

  • Trips table: each trip contains a button in the Actions column to view this exact trip.




  • Park tab: you can Locate the exact point and Share the location of this point by email.


  • Idling tab: you locate the exact point of the idling and share the location of this point by email.


How to Edit Vehicle Information:

:To edit the vehicles information, follow the following steps

  1. Choose a vehicle from the side list of vehicles. Vehicle will appear on the map.
  2. In the information window that appears for this vehicle, click on Options button.
  3. Click on Edit Information button.
  4. You can edit Vehicle Display Name and Plate Number.







How to Calibrate Mileage:

:To update the mileages for a specific vehicle, follow the following steps

  1. Choose a vehicle from the side list of vehicles. Vehicle will appear on the map.
  2. In the information window that appears for this vehicle, click on Options button.
  3. Click on Calibrate Mileage button. 
  4. Update Mileage and Calibrate.


How to Calibrate Weight Settings:

:To update the weight settings for a specific vehicle, follow the following steps

  1. Choose a vehicle from the side list of vehicles. Vehicle will appear on the map.
  2. In the information window that appears for this vehicle, click on Options button.
  3. Click on Calibrate Weight Settings button. 
  4. Update fields and Save Changes.









How to Share Vehicle Location:

:To share the current location for a specific vehicle, follow the following steps

  1. Choose a vehicle from the side list of vehicles. Vehicle will appear on the map.
  2. In the information window that appears for this vehicle, click on Options button.
  3. Click on Share Location button. 
  4. Specify the email address and phone number that will receive the location and click on Share.


:How to submit new command

User can submit new commands to be performed on each vehicle, follow these steps to add new commands:

  1. Choose a vehicle from the side list of vehicles. Vehicle will appear on the map.
  2. In the information window that appears for this vehicle, click on Options button.
  3. Click on Submit New Command button. 
  4. From Submit command window, choose the command and its corresponding data and save.



How to Disable vehicle:

To disable a vehicle, follow these steps:

  1. Choose a vehicle from the side list of vehicles. Vehicle will appear on the map.
  2. In the information window that appears for this vehicle, click on Options button.
  3. Click on Disable Vehicle button. 


How to Enable Vehicle:

 To enable a vehicle, follow these steps:

  1. Choose a vehicle from the side list of vehicles. Vehicle will appear on the map.
  2. In the information window that appears for this vehicle, click on Actions button.
  3. Click on Enable Vehicle button. 



Map

Map screen displays the map with a group of tools located at the bottom of the map, the tools have a group of functionalities as follows:

How to Calculate Distance

Calculate Distance is a tool on the map that enables the user to calculate the exact distance for two points on the map then draw a route between them.

  1. Click on Calculate Distance button from the tools bar at the bottom of the map.

 

  1. Go to the map and choose two locations you need to calculate the distance between them by clicking on the map for these locations.
  2. After choosing two locations, a small window will appear in the bottom of the map displaying the longitude and latitude points for the two locations and a Copy button allowing you to copy the coordinates. 


Also, a route will be drawn between these two locations on the map. If you click on one of the locations icons, the information of this location will appear.


How to Group Vehicles (Clustering)

Group Vehicles or Clustering is a tool that gathers the vehicles with the same location or near to each other in a group and displays the number of this group as an icon. 




Click on Cluster button, the cluster will be displayed as the following figure. 





Clicking on the cluster will zoom in to the group and displays all the vehicles in this cluster.


How to Show Traffic

Show Traffic is a tool that displays the traffic status on the major roads and highways on the map.



Click on Show Traffic button, the traffic status will be displayed on the map.



How to Locate

Locate feature allows the user to extract the coordinates of a location and copies them.


  1. Click on Locate button
  2. Move on the map, a small window will appear in the bottom of the map showing the longitude and latitude for the current location of the mouse cursor and changes when the cursor change.
  3. Click on a certain location, coordinates will hold and appear in the window with a copy button if the user needs to copy the coordinates.


How to Clear Search

Clear search is a tool that clears the selected and displayed vehicles on the map and resets the map location to the default.


How to view Warnings

Warning button opens the list of warnings and notifications occurred in the system. 


Click on Warning button, Notifications screen will appear in the bottom of the map displaying all warnings and notifications in the system. 



How to add Geofences

Geofence tool allows the user to create virtual boundaries on the map.


  1. Click on Geofence button, Geofence screen will open which contains:
  1. List of created Geofences with Delete button.
  2. Add Geofence button.



  1. Click on Add Geofence button, Add Geofence screen will be opened that contains the following fields needed to add a geofence:
  • Geofence Type: Determines the shape of the created geofence, contains three types which are; Circle, Polygon and Rectangle.
  • Geofence Name: Identifies a name for the geofence.
  • Geofence Speed: Identifies the allowable speed for this geofence.
  • Notify Email: Optional field to insert an email address, this email address will receive a notification in case a vehicle violates the determined speed for this geofence.



How to Add Landmarks

Landmarks feature allows adding recognizable objects for known places on the map.



  1. Click on Landmark button, Landmarks screen will open that contains:
  • List of created Landmarks with Delete and Locate buttons.
  • Delete: to delete the Landmark.
  • Locate: to display the Landmark on the map.
  • Add Landmark button.


  1. Click on Add Landmark button, Add Landmark screen will be opened that contains the following fields needed to create a landmark:
  • Marker as a red circle on the map to locate the place of the landmark.
  • Landmark Name: to identify the name of the landmark.
  • Latitude: filled automatically when locate the marker on the map and can be inserted manually.
  • Longitude: filled automatically when locate the marker on the map and can be inserted manually.
  • Group of Icons: To identify the corresponding icon for the created landmark.


  1. Click and hold on the red marker and move it to the desired location.
  2. Latitude and Longitude fields will be filled automatically with the corresponding coordinates.
  3. Insert a name for the landmark
  4. Choose an icon for the landmark.
  5. Click on submit.   

A notification msg will appear to notify the user that the landmark added successfully.


How to view Landmarks

  View landmarks button allows the user to display the created landmarks on the map.



Click on View Landmarks button, all created landmarks will be located on the map.



How to View Geofences

View Geofences button allows the user to display the created Geofences on the map. 





How to Export the vehicles in the list of Vehicles

Export button allows the user to export the vehicles in the vehicles list.


After clicking on Export button, the list of vehicles will be downloaded as an excel file.

How to Export a group of vehicles from the map screen

Choose multible vehicles from the side tree, a cluster of vehicles will appear. When you point the mouse on the cluster, a small screen will appear including Export button that when you click on, this cluster of vehicles along with their full information will be exported into an excel sheet. This small screen also includes a zoom button to zoom in into the cluster and display the vehicles.
